Plot Summary: At a very young age, Kim Young Ho (So Ji Sub) suffered from osteosarcoma which kept him in and out of the hospital that resulted to unhappy childhood. He, also named as John Kim, became a renowned personal trainer of Hollywood stars and was involved in a gossip with a celebrity. Kim Young Ho met Kang Joo Eun on a plane bound to South Korea.

Kang Joo Eun (Shin Min A} is a 33-year old lawyer who supports her family ever since the day her father died. She found herself in an embarrassing encounter with Kim Young Ho. Destiny brought them together in several unusual situations. Kang Joo Eun accidentally found out who Kim Young Ho was and sought help to get her back to her usual self. Back in school in her hometown, she was known as Daegu's Venus because of  her beauty.

As they both work together on her physical transformation, they found themselves falling in love with each other while healing emotional wounds.

My Thoughts: The series has just been completed and I still can't get over it. I have not started watching another series yet because of this! I really like the story. It was kept simple and light but full of romantic and comedic scenes that will make your heart flutter. I was kept in an absolute entertainment by the actors and actresses that portrayed their own role well. Kudos to the cast especially to So Ji Sub who have captured my interest ever since I watched the Master's Sun. What can I say? He is indeed oozing with sex appeal!

I have read quite a number of reviews prior to watching Oh My Venus. There were negative comments but, hey, what the heck? It kept me entertained all through out as this type of romantic-comedy series was for audiences like me who prefers to watch such! I really do not like complicated stories that was supposed to make the life of the lead stars miserable.

SJS really did a good job in his acting. There were several scenes that I like but what struck me most was when he was in the hospital bed after an accident. He was awesome and did well to make me shed a tear with him. Execution is toughest when there is no dialogue but his facial expression did show more than what you expect for a person who was in deep pain. SMA as well did good while she was on the other side of the door delivering her heart wrenching dialogue.

There were many cute and heart fluttering moments all through out the episodes. Scenes were never boring and would surely make you look forward for the next episode. I would recommend this for peeps who love to watch SJS.

The cast became a part of my household for a number of  days and I am missing them all now. I have started researching on other SJS drama series/ movies. It's definitely going into my bucket list.

My Rating: 10/10

Other So Ji-sub Dramas: Master's Sun
Other Shin Min-ah Dramas: My Love, My Bride
