Plot Summary: Kidnapped and stabbed, Lee Kang-hoon (Sung Hoon) successfully escapes his assailants. Found unconscious by Cha Yoon-seo (Kim Jae-kyung), she brings him to her veterinary hospital for emergency treatment. Kang-hoon spends the night under Yoon-seo's care and takes off in the morning, leaving her a note of his contact information.

Kang-hoon, a handsome CEO of DOL with physique beautifully defined with muscles coupled with six-pack abs and chiseled facial features, will surely sweep any woman's heart effortlessly. At least, that's how it is until Yoon-seo comes into the picture. Kang-hoon is confident that Yoon-seo will reach out to him any time soon for some compensation for stitching his stab wound and caring for him over night. The long train of waiting is in vain and Kang-hoon's patience runs out. He decides to see her instead and asks how much he should repay her. Yoon-seo, despite the not-so-productive condition of her hospital and loans, innocently hands him the list of items used for his treatment that amounted to seven hundred won and some change. His pride refuses to acknowledge the amount and Kang-hoon demands Yoon-seo to call for what he deems reasonable fee that would somehow matches up his worth. The simple minded Yoon-seo negates the proud Kang-hoon and does not want to charge him more than the actual cost of

the paraphernalia she used for treating him. Kang-hoon leaves in total disbelief and schemes to pay her in his own way. With a brilliant idea in mind, Kang-hoon returns and offers a spacious unit in one of his buildings located in the city for her to use. To agree on the generous proposal would mean moving to the city and leaving Yoon-seo's first hospital she puts up on her own. Challenged with Yoon-seo, Kang-hoon is not easily to give up and puts up a test for how long Yoon-seo can stand solid to her ground. Kang-hoon buys the building where Yoon-seo holds her practice and gives her advance notice that it will be demolished in a few days. After much effort in finding solution to her pitiful situation, Yoon-seo finds herself at the mercy of the high and mighty Kang-hoon. With pride of her own, she moves in but imposes that she is not taking the unit for free. Kang-hoon, for some reason, is drawn to the thirty- year old vet doctor. He shows up to places where Yoon-seo is. What he knows is, he wants her near him all the time.

Kang-hoon's mother puts him in a list of blind dates. It is an opportunity he sees to enter into a relationship contract with her and probably an excuse he can make use of to date and see Yoon-seo everyday. As expected, Kang-hoon is faced with much opposition to the idea prior to contract signing, where he is the dominant and Yoon-seo, the submissive party. In return, the lady vet gets to own the spacious unit and be free from any obligation. Kang-hoon uses the agreement much to his advantage as he gets to see her everyday at any time, date and be near her as much as he wants and can demand from her to keep away from other guys. He seems to be a very jealous guy and seems to like her a lot but Kang-hoon just does not know how to do it. He finds her interesting and totally different from other girls. He appears to be mean and rough in front of her but can also be sweet and caring in his own little way. There are also moments where Kang-hoon finds himself staring at her tenderly when she is asleep.

Even before the relationship contract ends, Kang-hoon openly admits to Yoon-seo that he likes her. With her in his heart, he brings up another proposal to Yoon-seo - that is, to live with him! Living under one roof exposes one's real self and habits and may eventually result to disliking the person, either that or the other way around. Kang-hoon tells her that if Yoon-seo will live with him, this should resolve his feelings toward her. Of course, Yoon-seo initially refuses him until Kang-hoon tricked her again into getting what he wants. Poor Yoon-seo have no other option but to move in!

Another journey begins when they become house mates. House rules are set and Yoon-seo's freedom narrows. She is forbidden to see any male friends, as usual. It is a huge relief for Kang-hoon when he learns that Yoon-seo's friend visited her in the pet hospital to bid farewell. However, when Kang-hoon's brother arrives from the US, he is enraged. He forbids any close interaction from the two. Kang-hoon's insecurities is rooted from an old love stolen by his younger brother. He has never dated since then. Yoon-seo, at this point, is already giving some affection for Kang-hoon and also starts showing submissiveness. Apparently, she has already fallen for Kang-hoon. She agrees to stay with him forever - it is a promise disrupted by Kang-hoon's mother's homecoming.  Kang-hoon's interfering mother interrogates Yoon-seo about her family background and such. She vocalizes her disagreement with the relationship and put Yoon-seo to a test by coaxing her to sign the prenuptial agreement. Yoon-seo refuses to sign and tells Kang-hoon's mom that she has no intention of marrying her son. Kang-hoon hears the conversation and convinces her to sign. With her own reasons, she refuses. The decision devastates Kang-hoon and tries to give up on her. However, his true emotions wouldn't let him.  He tries to get to Yoon-seo but she is nowhere to find. As soon as Kang-hoon learns, he follows her to the countryside. Yoon-seo, on the other hand, had time to think and when she knew that Kang-hoon has come for her, she welcomes him in her loving arms.

My Thoughts:  This is a very simple and light rom-com drama that is enjoyable to watch. Each episode is no more than 15-17 minutes. I was surprised at first but I realized that the drama is based on a manga story. I like how they make it so straightforward, and just focused on building the love story of the two lead characters. You get so much funny and cute interaction from them. Though the leads need to have more acting workshops to ace their performance, their physical attributes are a fit to their role. They blend together that makes up a good chemistry - commendable enough for another Sung Hoon and Jae-kyung tandem. Sung Hoon plays a cold CEO and I now understand the complexity of the role to be an effective one. Sung Hoon is a bit awkward and stiff but in due time and more acting workshops, I'm sure he can muster the role in no time. I have the impression that Jae-kyung is not a drinker, LOL, her acting is more of a lunatic rather than a woman intoxicated - referring to the scene where she got drunk. The CEO assistant and dongsaeng are both cute and funny too - a great add on to spice up the drama!

Looking into the totality of the drama, it's not that bad! I find it enjoyable, easy to watch and so sweet at the same time! The short episodes are cool and a good break from the long and multi-casted dramas I recently watched.  If you are looking for something different, I recommend this drama. You won't be disappointed.

My Rating: 8.5/10
