Plot Summary: Oh Ha-ni (Jung So-min), a clumsy high school girl who is always at the bottom of her class has a huge crush on Baek Seung-jo (Kim Hyun - jong). The latter goes to the same school and is very popular with his good looks and being born a genius. Ha-ni confesses her love through a letter and hopes for a favorable response from her crush. Poor Ha-ni gets rejected and her letter was returned full of corrections from grammatical and spelling errors. Much worse when Seung-jo tells her that she hates stupid girls.

A twist of fate brought Ha-ni and her dad to live with Seung-jo's family when their newly built home was toppled down by an earthquake. It appears that both of their fathers are long lost childhood friends. The cold and distant Seung-jo remains insensitive over Ha-ni's feelings. He informs her not to tell anyone in school that they live together. His attitude towards her did not stop Han-ni's affection from growing. Determined as ever, she follows him around and even got him into tutoring her. Ha-ni aims to be in the rank 50s so she can join him in a special class for top students. Thanks to Seung-jo, Ha-ni achieves her goal!

While senior students are filled with frustration and anxiety with preparation for university, Ha-ni's focus is only set for Seung-jo. She only wants him and cares less for university. On the other hand, it is around during this time that Seung-jo stirs confusion with his feelings for Ha-ni and university. He simply doesn't know what he wants. Ha-ni shares words of wisdom she learned from her elders to Seung-jo. Ha-ni realizes that even geniuses have their own challenges. In the seniors' gathering, Seung-jo mocks Ha-ni in front of their fellow students. To get even, Ha-ni shows to everyone Seung-jo's picture when he was little. Embarrassed, he grabs  her out of the function room and  pinned her to a wall. Ha-ni declares to forget and stop loving him but to her surprise, Seung-jo kisses her on the lips.

Ha-ni finally gets accepted to Parang University when a student pulled out her application. Seung-jo joins Ha-ni in PU even if he gets an unusual admission to a prominent university. Nothing has changed and Ha-ni still tails him around untiringly. Seung-jo continues to tease Ha-ni now and then as he believes that he lives to tease her. Heartache emerges when Hae-ra appears between them. Yoon Hae-ra (Lee Si-young) is a female counterpart of Seung-jo as she possesses the same ability like him. They have become a frequent companion due to school related activities. In the midst of everything, Seung-jo needs to take over the family business when his father suffers from a major health issue. Seung-jo finds himself being introduced to the investor's granddaughter, who happens to be Hae-ra, for an arranged marriage. Meanwhile, Ha-ni's long time loyal and persistent admirer, Bong Joon-gu (Lee Tae-sung), takes his love to the next level by proposing to Ha-ni. But as expected, she only have eyes for Seung-jo. Ha-ni heads home to find Seung-jo with an umbrella waiting for her at the bus stop. The unexpected downpour is an excuse that Seung-jo uses to hide his concern for Ha-ni. An argument brews where Seung-jo ends it with a kiss, finally revealing his true feelings. Seung-jo announces in front of their parents that he will marry Ha-ni after graduation. The ever scheming and matchmaking mother of Seung-jo brought their wedding forward while they are still in university. She does not see any reason for delaying it.

Now married, Seung-jo enters medicine and this makes Ha-ni wants to pursue nursing. As a way of motivation, Seung-jo tells Ha-ni that their marriage will be registered until then. He also promised a date with her. Ha-ni struggles to get to nursing and fails the practical exam. To brighten up Ha-ni, Seung-jo asks her for a dinner date but Ha-ni fails to show up on time because of an accident she witnessed while on her way. She makes use of what she learned from Seung-jo and tries to save the unconscious lady by performing CPR. The attempt did well and saves the life of the lady. She remembers her date with her husband and rushes to the restaurant they agreed to meet on, unfortunately, the venue is already closed but she is surprised to see Seung-jo waiting for her. Uncertain, they drive around and parks in a vacant lot. They talk about themselves and their relationship. Ha-ni states what she wants now for herslef while  Seung-jo expresses support for her...and...they kiss!

My Thoughts: By far, this is the only series I can watch over and over again! It is just too awesome that I cannot get enough of it. It's always like the first time, really! Super romantically cute! Full of fun! This will definitely give you so much happiness as you go through episode per episode. I cannot express enough how much emotion I have for this successful drama series. Due to Playful Kiss' international popularity, they have created a SPECIAL EDITION which was uploaded in Youtube . The supplemental seven ten- minute websodes features their life after the wedding. I also found 7 parts of BAEK SEUNG-JO's DIARY in Youtube. It's all about his thoughts on Ha-ni from the day he met her towards their married life! It's super duper cute!

My Rating: 10/10
