Plot Summary: Lee Na-yeon (Lee Yoo-ri) became an orphan at the age of twelve when her mother was hit by a car. She briefly stayed in an orphanage and was soon adopted by the wife of the truck driver that accidentally hit Na-yeon's mother. She grew up with her new family together with her two adoptive siblings. Na-yeon gave up university to support her boyfriend,  Lee Tae-joon (Suh Joon-young), with his tuition fees. And when her boyfriend was given the opportunity by Baekdo Construction to further his studies in Boston, she agreed to defer their wedding until then. Na-yeon was already few weeks pregnant but had chosen not to tell Tae-joon to prevent him from calling off the offer. She wanted him to pursue his goal and focus on his studies without any distractions. Three years of waiting became five years and Na-yeon did not hear anything from him. Finally, Tae-joon came back and was engaged to be married to his already pregnant fiance, Jang Se-jin (Park Ha-na), a spoiled daughter of a powerful and affluent family and granddaughter of Baekdo Construction. Na-yeon's devastation was so great but couldn't do anything to keep Tae-joon. Eventually, she accepted her fate and that of her daughter. She was ready to move on, live in peace and raise Se-byeol without a father, but with her loving and supportive family. However, Tae-joon, Se-jin and her family wouldn't leave her in peace as the skeletons hidden in each one's closet were haunting them with fear and guilt. The once peaceful life of Na-yeon had turned upside down with the subsequent events perpetrated by Se-jun's mother. With the help of Tae-joon's mother, Sejin's mother kidnapped Se-byeol from home for thinking that Na-yeon would create havoc on the day of her daughter's wedding. Left alone at home, Se-byeol came rushing down the stairs when she heard her mother's voice shouting and calling her name from the outside, but she tripped off and came tumbling down several steps onto the main floor. The child had to undergo surgery and was in critical condition.  Na-yeon, on the other hand, was taken against her will to be locked up in a mental institution, but was hit by a careening car when she managed to escape. She was confined in a distant hospital where nobody in her family knew her whereabouts.

Baek Do-hee (also portrayed by Lee Yoo-ri) sat for over two hours waiting for Na-yeon. She was supposed to meet up with her, but Na-yeon failed to show up because of Se-jin's mother's evil plot to stop the latter from exposing them to Do-hee, who was a tough and fearless reporter of a prestigious weekly magazine. Unbeknownst to them, Do-hee and Na-yeon were twin sisters separated after birth. Do-hee started digging into their birth secrets when she saw Na-yeon's photo and had observed their striking resemblance. Do-hee had the toothbrush and hair sample of Na-yeon taken from the latter's home for DNA testing. The result shows that they are biologically related and were, in fact, twins. Do-hee went to see Na-yeon in the hospital and trade places with her to find out the mastermind of her sister's confinement and at the same time to send her back to her daughter. Unfortunately, a fire broke out in the hospital that took the life of Do-hee. Everyone believed that the corpse was that of Na-yeon's. The wedding of Tae-joon and Se-jin's took place as planned despite the former's request to the family to defer the schedule. As it seemed, Tae-joon was distraught with the turn of events. His emotions were too heavy enough to reflect on his face. Though Se-jin tried to be understanding as she ought to be, but her jealousy was bringing out the worst in her. She visited Se-byeol in the hospital and got ticked thus insensitively revealed to the child the demise of her mother. Minutes later, Seb-yeol died. Na-yeon regained consciousness as Do-hee to everyone. She had completely taken her twin sister's identity to avenge the people who hurt her - Tae-joon's cruel betrayal, the horrendous conspiracy of Tae-joon and Se-jin's mothers and the frightening love of Se-jin's parents to their only daughter.

My Thoughts: Great story line and commendable acting of all the actors and actresses especially Lee Yoo-ri. I religiously watched this series from beginning to end and each day, the episodes has kept me on the edge of my seat. Though this has a happy ending, I am kind of disappointed with some events and how some characters turned out in the end. I will not give any specifics on here to prevent from being a spoiler. Overall though, it's really worth watching. Each episode is around 30 minutes, pacing is just right and I never felt being dragged for the most part.

My Rating: 8.5/10
