Plot Summary: Kim Young-soo (Kim In-kwon) and Han Gi-tak (Kim Su-ro) are two men that died before their time. Both men are not ready to leave the world behind due to their own personal unfinished business. Young-soo is a hard working family man married to Shin Da-hye (Lee Min-jung). He is always busy and rarely have time for his family. His life ends from accidentally falling off a high rise building of the department he works for. Unfortunately, his employer writes his death off as a suicide. Han Gi-tak on the other hand is murdered by a former gangmate due to the latter's greed. Gi-tak has reformed his life and runs a restaurant business. For so many years, he has been in love with an actress named, Song Yi-yeon (Lee Ha-nul), the ex-wife of a rich businessman that owns the big department store.
In the afterlife, Young-soo and Gi-tak refuse to be transported to their final destination. They feel that they still have things to resolve for their loved ones. With much discussion from above, they are given two months with certain conditions attached to their agreement - they cannot reveal themselves and they cannot be engaged in human affairs. However, they can no longer go back to their own body. Young-soo comes back to life as Lee Hae-joon (Rain), who is said to be the illegitimate son of the huge department store patriarch. Han Gi-tak on the other hand takes on reluctantly a woman's body and identity of Yeon-soo (Han Hong-nan).
As Lee Hae-joon, Young-soo has the opportunity to implement changes for the benefit of the employees. He joins the department store with ease to help save the business from potential sell-out and to improve employee relations due to bad management. Lee Hae-joon, through the help of Yeon-so is also able to establish the true cause of his death. His next goal is to take care of his family and ensure a better future for his wife, daughter and father before he finally moves on to next life. Meanwhile, Gi-tak needs to remember who orchestrated his death. He also needs to sort out the life of his one and only love, who is suffering from the hands of her ex-husband. Given a limited time to accomplish each other's good intentions, they work hand in hand to get things done within the specified time frame. And during this course, they learn that they are actually brothers-in-law in their previous life. Unfortunately, the conditions set by heaven will not allow them to reveal themselves to their loved ones and to the people close to them.

My Thoughts: I really liked the concept of the drama. It's just so sad that it went on air side by side with Descendants of the Sun. Had it been aired on a total different season, the drama would have gotten a better rating. I had read several feedback from different folks, and they share my good thoughts about Please Come Back, Mister. Though it has a tragic beginning, the ending was satisfying and something how I really wanted it to end. It has a mixture of comedy and drama; and has a lot of touching moments from each character. I wish though at some points that they can reveal themselves but because it was mandated otherwise by heaven, I gave up the thought and just went with it. Although there were recognizable hints, important characters around them 'somehow' felt it's them. The drama ended last week but guess what, I still have the story in my head. It goes to show that it was indeed a good one.
My Rating: 9/10
