Plot Summary:  Kang Min-ho's (Jung Kyung-ho) ruthlessness is rooted from deep hatred with his uncle, who has maliciously taken over the Hermia Group of companies. Minho's father, the then CEO of the said company was unjustly charged with embezzlement after his death, in which Minho believes it to be a frame up staged by his uncle. Following to that, Minho's uncle seized all of Minho's family shares that subsequently results to his mother's suicide. Now an adult engaged with Gold Partners, Minho is fixated to get back to his uncle even if it would mean spending his last remaining days in the fulfillment of his revenge. Minho is afflicted with the same heart disease that took his father's life, and the only way to battle his debilitating condition is a heart transplant where finding a match donor proves to be rare.

As Minho wrestles and pounds his way to his uncle, he meets his childhood acquaintance, Kim Soon-jung (Kim So-yeon), currently his uncle's executive assistant, who happens to be the daughter of his father's then executive assistant, also perceived by Minho  as a traitor for standing against his father's honor. Minho uses extreme measures to get Soon-jung work against his uncle. Two of those brief meet ups, Soon-jung ends up bringing Minho to the hospital due to his illness.

Meanwhile, Soon-jung's detective fiance becomes a victim of a hit and run accident that caused his life, which happens after his confrontation with the Hermia's legal affairs director, Lee Joon-hee (Yoon Hyun-min), found to be responsible for tampering Hermia's skin care product. Soon-jung's fiance has given ultimatum to the latter to turn himself in, otherwise, he will take the matter upon him to his agency. The sudden death of the detective means a gift of life for Min-ho as he is recipient to the heart of Soon-jung's fiance. The transplant is manifesting traits of the donor to Min-ho. Not only to people around him, but some changes in his attitude, behavior and emotions are also recognizable to Min-ho. These unexplainable dramatic changes impel him to dig in, though illegal, to uncover who his donor was. Moreover, Min-ho is also having strange dreams about the accident which becomes clearer each time. A unique made-to-order handcrafted watch keeps on popping up in his dream. The bloodstained watch will be the ultimate evidence to confirm their suspicion and nail down the perpetrator. More to that, Min-ho is also confused with how his heart reacts each time Soon-jung is near him. He finds himself drawn to her until he recognizes the symptoms of being in love with her. He has stopped resisting his heart and allows himself to open his emotions to her.

Soon-jung's years in the company has given her valuable insights as it relates to its ins and outs. She is very competent, professional, well organized and works with her heart. She values the humble beginnings of the business and its employees, which she boldly discusses with Min-ho, in the hope to change his move from total shutdown of the operations of the middle factory. It took time to convince Min-ho to change his mind but the bloody ending of the rally in the factory becomes one of his eye openers that would back him down from pursuing his revenge. Meanwhile, Joon-hee's temporary appointment as Hermia's president since Min-ho's uncle's death makes him more aggressive in maintaining foothold to the status and the power it holds. Joon-hee is so blinded with ambition that he would do anything to protect his interests regardless of who gets in the way, not even Soon-jung, who he secretly loves for the past 20 plus years. Joon-hee's uncanny method and motive are slowly appearing in Min-ho's eyes, and he will not allow Joon-hee to be named as new president for Hermia. Min-ho's changes since his transplant has made him into a better person through Soon-jung's influence and guidance. The table turns around as Min-ho now lives to protect Hermia and its people from Joon-hee's monstrous designs. Min-ho becomes the newly elected Hermia's president while Joon-hee is out to sabotage Min-ho's business transactions to bring down the company to bankruptcy. Joon-hee replaces Min-ho's abandoned post in Gold Partners and uses it to his advantage to thwart Min-ho's plans. His deep seated obsession is aggravated with Min-ho's winning of Soon-jung's affection.

With Hermia's brink to destruction, Min-ho decides to protect its interests till the end. He confronts Joon-hee's dirty tactics head on by exposing Gold Partners' malicious strategy of manipulation and constricting growth of Hermia's business, even if it would expose his own. Strong evidence also comes about to charge Joon-hee for murdering his best friend and other cases are piling up against him. Hermia is saved but Joon-hee's health condition worsens that leads to either life or death situation.

My Thoughts: Falling for Innocence is an uplifting and heartwarming drama. I agree on the positive attributes I read from most reviews I come across with. The actor aced his performance and stands out as the shining star of this drama world. He is incredible and a complement to his leading lady. I find this a good watch. It has all the components of a good TV series - my expectations are met!

My Rating: 10/10
