Plot Summary: Park Soo-ha's (Lee Jong-seok) ability to read minds comes about on the night his father was murdered right in front of his eyes. A truck deliberately hit their car and Soo-ha saw the driver, Min Joon-gook (Jung Woong-in), emerged from the truck to see for any signs of life. Seeing both of them still alive, Soo-ha read the evil thoughts of the driver - he was out to finish them off. He witnessed his father bludgeoned to death with a pole the driver was holding. He was next, but two students disrupted the act which led the assailant to leave Soo-ha and go after the witnesses. Hye-seong (Lee Bo-young) was able to capture the scene in her cell phone and fled for their lives. The sound of a siren saved their plight and that of Soo-ha's.

Soo-ha, finally sees Hye-seong again after 10 long years but the latter does not recognizes him. Hye-seong, now a public defender, is assigned to handle the case of Soo-ha's classmate who is charged with attempted murder of a fellow classmate. Hye-seong finds her client guilty in the absence of facts and wants the accused to plead as coaxed and reflect on her actions in the hope for leniency, but Soo-ha grabs Hye-seong  to give her a piece of his mind and tells her that his classmate is not guilty. Soo-ha shows his ability to Hye-seong by telling her what her thoughts are. This is too prove Hye-seong that he has already read innocence in the eyes of his classmate. However, she disregards him but not totally. That incident plus Hye-seong's brief confrontation with the prosecutor who she has a grudge from an incident 10 years ago significantly changes her stance at the last minute and denies all accusations against her client. With the help of Hye-seong's colleague, they went to the school to conduct their own investigation that eventually leads to acquittal of her client.

Soo-ha has been trailing Hye-seong from the day she found her to ensure her safety. He vows to do this ever since his father's murderer was indicted and put behind bars. He saw Hye-seong then crying for fear of Joon-gook's threat to kill her. When Soo-ha learns that Hye-seong has been receiving text messages from an unknown number thought to be as spam, he suddenly remembers that Joon-gook has recently been released from prison, Soo-ha panics and rushes to Hye-seong's home when he could not reach her. At home, they find the cell phone where the text messages are coming from within the premises. This confirms that  Joon-gook is already after Hye-seong. Soo-ha's drastic move exposes himself to Joon-gook which results to assaulting the ex-convict. No charges are filed against Soo-ha as that is not part of Joon-gook's plan. He wouldn't be able to execute his revenge if Soo-ha is imprisoned. Hye-seong goes to the police station for Soo-ha. Her mind recalls the way Soo-ha has been protecting her, she deduced that Soo-ha was the kid she met in the courtroom ten years ago. The very same kid who promised her protection. With this thought in mind, Hye-seong welcomes Soo-ha to her home as she needs someone to protect her.

Joon-gook is aware of Soo-ha's ability to read minds. He provokes Soo-ha through his thoughts without verbalizing words. His revenge is to turn Soo-ha into a murderer like him and also to kill Hye-seong. But getting close to Hye-seong proves to be difficult as Soo-ha is always around her. In retaliation and provocation, Joon-gook kills Hye-seong's mother in a very clean manner. He is set free due to lack of evidence. He makes sure to put up a front as a reformed citizen to prevent any suspicions that may blow his long range plans. He must execute his revenge as seamlessly as possible. To stop Joon-gook, Soo-ha recklessly decides to settle the matter in his own hands. He bites the bait to kill Joon-gook but Hye-seong intervenes and accidentally receives the blow when Soo-ha is about to stab Joon-gook. This incident is kept hidden to protect Soo-ha.

A year later, Soo-ha is found and charged with Joon-gook's murder. Hye-seong has not seen him for that long from the time she regained consciousness in the hospital after the stabbing incident.  Hye-seong finds Soo-ha with no memory of the past. She represents and takes charge of him until he gets his memory back. The case against Soo-ha is so strong with all evidences pointing to him as Joon-gook's murderer. With her team of public defenders, they all work together to clear off Soo-ha from the charges presented by the prosecutors. Hye-seong strongly believes that Soo-ha is innocent and that the victim is still alive. To get Soo-ha off the hook, they must prove that the death of Joon-gook is indeed orchesrtated by the victim himself.

My Thoughts: I do not know how I missed watching this drama. I thought I already have but when I decided to give it another go, I realized that I haven't seen this at all. I probably must have watched a few scenes in episode 1 and aborted it all together. I should have been patient as the drama turned out to be a good one! Another good casting, unique plot and cute romance. They are able to get away with the age gap romance and the fact that the girl is older than the boy.  It's a good example of 'age does not matter' kind of relationship. I can't believe the chemistry they have shown and how they complement each other. My heart leapt for a second when Joon-gook dragged Soo-ha from the rooftop of the building down to the ground. Music, by the way, are awesome too! I'd say, DAEBAK!

My Rating: 10/10
