Plot Summary: Choi Seung-hui (Kim Rae-won) is a young acclaimed director after his successful international film debut. While in Australia, he meets and falls head over heels  in love with an aspiring musician, Lee Hye-su (Jung Ryeo-won). Though their relationship is met with great resistance by Hye-su's mother, Seung-hui is determined to marry Hye-su, who is also so much in love with him to the point of defying her mother's demand to break off the relationship. After Hye-su's tough conversation with her mother over the phone, Seung-hui asks Hye-su to dine out to make her feel better. Seung-hui could not hold off his excitement and proposes to Hye-su while driving. The ring slips from his hand as he tries to put it on her finger. Seung-hui successfully escapes the truck in front of them but loses control when the car swerves that takes the life of Hye-su. Seung-hui spends the last three years drinking in seclusion in his own apartment until his friend, Han Jung-hoon (Park Si-hoo), who runs a film production company, urges him to move on and pull his life back together.

Now back in South Korea, Seung-hui still struggles from his pain but decides to overcome the grief by resuming his work. Out on the streets, a young woman catches his attention who looks exactly like his beloved Hye-su. Struck by the utter similarity, he follows the girl and rides the bus to her hometown, which turns out to be a far-flung province from Seoul. Realizing where he is, Seung-hui talks to the young woman, Kim Bok-sil (also played by Jung Ryeo-won), and asks where he can spend the night over. Bok-sil, who is saving up for her mother's treatment, offers her home as an inn for a fee. Seung-hui wakes up early in the morning and finds Bok-sil feeding her goats. Seung-hui intentionally makes Bok-sil thinks that he is jobless and preparing for an exam. As they talk, Seung-hui asks her if there are any nice scenery around that would be great to film. Bok-sil brings him along to show the area as she gets spring water in the higher land. Seung-hui scans the site and totally immersed in his surroundings when he senses the presence of a wild boar. Threatened by the sight, he flees frightfully as fast as he can away from the vicinity. He runs and panics all through out the way, shouting for Bok-sil's name. He trips and rolls over hurting his ankle. Missing the only bus that travels once a day, Seung-hui is constrained to stay for another night in Bok-sil's home.

Seung-hui, inspired by the beauty of Bok-sil's hometown, comes back to shoot for his next film. Bok-sil is embarassed to face him when she realizes that Seung-hui after all is a renowned director. Nevertheless, seeing this rare opportunity in her hometown to earn, Bok-sil positions herself as a rice server for the crew and comes to the set everyday. Bok-sil then meets Jung-hoon, who is also struck by the former's similarity with Hye-su and absentmindedly offers her a job in his company.

Bok-sil's hope to have her mother treated, brings her to Seoul to grab the opportunity presented by Jung-hoon. She works as a run-around girl for Seung-hui tending to his every need in the office. She is fearless and speaks whatever comes to her mind. She braves the demands of her work despite her clumsy and awkward ways. Due to Seung-hui's bad temper, he ends up firing Bok-sil. Though he is rough on the outside, he is actually soft and kind where Bok-sil is concerned. Bok-sil formally tenders her resignation the next day and returns her salary made in advance plus the cellphone he bought for her. Seung-hui is about to tell her something but Bok-sil's phone suddenly rings. She is being urged to go home because of her mother's health. Seung-hui runs after her and ends up driving her all the way home. It is Seung-hui's first time to drive after the traumatic experience of the accident.

Seung-hui and Bok-sil spends time together during their brief stay and everything seems back to normal for the two. Bok-sil urges him to go back ahead as she needs to stay a couple more days to ensure full recovery of her mother. In Seoul, Seung-hui bought two tickets for a soccer match but no Bok-sil turns up in the stadium. Bok-sil is unreachable but Seung-hui stays waiting for her even after the match. Unknown to him, Bok-sil is lost in anguish when her real mother shows up to get her. The unexpected revelation is just too much for her to bear.

Bok-sil, whose real name is Hye-rim, is born to an affluent family. The family lost her during a fire breakout in a restaurant when she was just a toddler. They all believe that their little daughter was ravaged by the fire. With her adoptive mother's admonishment, Bok-sil returns to Seoul to live with her true family. She learns that she has an older sister; named, Hye-su. Her curiosity about her sister cracks the link between Seung-hui's relationship to Hye-su. She also learns how her mother disapproved the relationship and the hate towards Seung-hui.

Back to work, Bok-sil is unable to tell Seung-hui about her long absence. She still works for him  but her mother has another plan for her. That is, for her to study in the US and therfore being urged to quit her job.  True to his word, Seung-hui mentors Bok-sil with scriptwriting. He buys her books for reference and gives homeworks to get started. Bok-sil finds herself falling for Seung-hui. While the feeling is mutual, Seung-hui refuses to acknowledge his feelings towards her. Initially, he is only moved because of Bok-sil's resemblance to Hye-su.

At the party where Bok-sil is to be introduced to their family's circle, Seung-hui is dumbfounded to know of Bok-sil's identity. This further complicates his feelings for her knowing that she is Hye-su's younger sister. Bok-sil on the other hand comes and goes out of the house without her family's knowledge to have a glimpse of Seung-hui. Despite Seung-hui's denial, his love for Bok-sil is overbearing and finally stops resisting his true emotions. Bok-sil, who has already deep feelings for him, is headstrong to win the approval of her mother. The odds are too great to conquer. In Bok-sil's attempt to relent to her mother's wishes, she ends up running from her family to be with Seung-hui. After days of being together, they both decide to head home and talk it out with her family. However, that didn't work. More adversaries are yet to come and eventually, the couple decides to part ways for the benefit of each other.

Seung-hui meets up with Bok-sil's mother when he learns that she is sent home to her adoptive mother. He convinces her to take her daughter back as they already ended up their relationship. Though Bok-sil claims that she already has moved on, she cries non-stop at home when she accidentally meets him. This softens up the mother's heart that gives way to meeting up with Seung-hui to give her forgiveness and approval.
