Plot Summary: Two seminarians, Kim Gyu-shik (Kwon Sang-woo) and Shin Seon-dal (Kim In-kwon), are sent into the countryside for a month of service under the tutelage of an elderly priest, Father Nam, after a minor misdemeanor where Gyu-shik accidentally breaks the calyx sanctified by the pope when Seon-dal unintentionally knocks him down after a fit of sneeze caused by the smoke coming from the incense during ceremony rites in the church.

Gyu-shik takes his chosen vocation seriously while Seon-dal loves to hang-out and party. Gyu-shik meets an intoxicated Bong-hee (Ha-Ji-won), who has just arrived from the US to greet her uncle, Father Nam, and meet her boyfriend. A scandalous encounter happens in the church when Bong-hee carelessly falls on top of Gyu-shik that makes them appear as kissing. An elderly nun, also resides in the local parish church, is willing to brush off what she has witnessed to give Gyu-shik a chance for pursuing his vocation.

For some reason, Gyu-shik tails Bong-hee to tell her something but couldn't get himself to blurt it out as the latter is too taken in making up herself presentable to her boyfriend. In the restaurant just right next to the couple's table, Gyu-shik overhears the boyfriend breaking up with Bong-hee. She no longer have a reason to stay, but could not get herself fly back to the US as she does not have funds for the ticket. She decides to work in the parish church for a month to raise the amount she needs.

Gyu-shik takes Bong-hee under his wing to guide her to the right path and be baptized to the Catholic Church. Gyu-shik battles to even try to convert her. He follows her around, talks to her and gives her a bible and a rosary. However, Gyu-shik realizes that the task he brings upon himself wouldn't be an easy one. Bong-hee is too liberated, bold and headstrong to even listen to him. Seon-dal, who is always observing him advises Gyu-shik to get Bong-hee to sing in the choir as his first step in converting her. He contemplates on what Seon-dal suggests but the latter advances his move to invite Bong-hee to help Gyu-shik in his battle. Their relationship improves but Gyu-shik is not prepared with the intrusion of another emotion alien to him. His interior battle seems too strong but he tries to win it painfully anyway. On the other hand, Bong-hee likewise starts to see him in a different light. With a heavy heart, Bong-hee is now ready to depart and leave everything behind but her feelings over powers her will to move on. In the church, Gyu-shik is about to be ordained as a priest but could not get himself through it because of Bong-hee. He finds solace with the thought that wherever and however he may be, he will still be forever be grateful to God and keep Him in his heart. In the end, Gyu-shik and Bong-hee reunites as a couple, holding hands and ready to face a new tomorrow.

My Thoughts: Aside from the famous names of the actors, the project offers a quality entertainment. I really don't mind watching old works of skillful personalities such as Sang-woo and Ji-won. I am always curious how they were before.

The directing is solid - the atmosphere is cheerful and refreshing coupled with the awesome landscape shots in the countryside. It gives you a nostalgic feeling of serenity, it's like a place you've lived once in your past life.

This movie is something that would stick in your mind for awhile unless you immediately move on to the next in your list. I really like watching rom-coms, it never fails to brighten up my day. If you are too, then this is a cup of your tea.

My Rating: 9.5/10
